For the upcoming holiday season, please visit our High Holy Days 2020 page.

The High Holy Days are a time of prayer, reflection, re-connection and learning. Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the Jewish New Year and is followed ten days later by Yom Kippur, the ‘Day of Atonement.’

At Temple Israel, we mark the High Holy Days with a variety of services and events that meet the needs of our diverse congregation. Some are held at Temple Israel, while others take place at London’s Jewish Community Centre to accommodate everyone wishing to attend.

All are welcome, and there is no charge.

Our High Holy Day services are held in English and Hebrew and are enriched by the music of the Temple Israel choir.

We encourage members of every age to participate in our services – no Hebrew required!

In addition to our beautiful and meaningful services, members enjoy our annual Erev Rosh Hashanah dinner and the opportunity to support our Social Action Committee’s London Food Bank drive.

We look forward to sharing a meaningful High Holy Days with you!

Donations in honour of loved ones are customary at this time of year and very much appreciated. Please contact the Temple Israel office at office@templeisraellondon.ca for more information.

If you would like to participate in a High Holy Days service, please contact Rabbi Dressler at rabbi.dressler@templeisraellondon.ca

Please see our Calendar for the dates, times, and locations of this year’s High Holy Days services and events.
