Dr. Alex Levine (she/her) works at Western Research at Western University, as an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Decolonization (EDID) Research Specialist.  Alex brings a unique perspective to this work, identifying as gay and Jewish.

In this session, Alex will cover basic concepts of EDID, and go through some key principles and best practices of equity and inclusion, and how these can be applied in our environment. This will include us talking about unconscious bias, micro/macroagressions and the power of inclusive and thoughtful language.

At the end of the session, we hope you gain the understanding of how to be a transformative ally and leader, with the ability to create brave, inclusive and accountable spaces, in which everyone can thrive.
